It's fair to say that the Maori won the Maori Wars which taught today as The New Zealand Wars by some which is the reinterpreted versions. Not only was there a Maori Kiwi in the Prime Minister position Timi Kara [James Carroll] in office over British at the time of the Maori Wars, but also Maori Kings were appointed, and without them in World War 2 that was happening right after Maori Wars.. the Axis parties would have destroyed more of Britain than they already did.
