Maori PA are Polynesian built and designed Forts. The Polynesian fort looks lik ethe design of a 3 tower cake where theres a base, then a mid section on top, and then a top.

The reason they ar elike this is because if you get passed the first section, you have to fight to the section, then the last section, and well Maori alwasy built escape tunnels also, so they were very hard to take on and even worse, they were bult by Maori in a very short amount of time.

Theres parts in Aotearoan History that discuss maori building Pa as distractions, sometimes even built..just to pick a fight. A well known historical battle was of when a Maori Iwi bult a Pa right next to the British style fort to pick a fight.
