Recently in 2014, several articles have popped up on WW1 with western Samoa. The Herald claims Samoa was being taken advantage of, and that Germany attempted to colonize. The newspaper has a history of being pro-British, obviously bitter over the German invasion of Britain, trying to get Samoans reacting to their news titles. The paper is a problem stirer and needs to be recorded as one for any Asia Pacific community.
